Abstract

HarvestChoice Web Map Services (version 1.1.1) offer Open GIS Consortium standard Web Map Service interface. Using WMS endpoints, you can allow your desktop or web GIS clients (e.g. QGIS and ArcMap, Leaflet, etc.) to access all of HarvestChoice data layers for sub-Saharan Africa without this website.

The WMS requests currently available are GetMap, GetFeatureInfoUrl, GetLegendGraphic, and GetCapabilities.

To read more on WMS, refer to the OpenGIS WMS specifications. For customizing the requests, read ESRI WMS and WFS Connector Help.

The main WMS endpoint is http://apps.harvestchoice.org/arcgis/rest/services and services are described there. To request one of the services in a GIS client, use for example http://apps.harvestchoice.org/arcgis/services/cell5m_socio/MapServer/WMSServer.
