Data layers are available in comma-separated values format (.csv) suitable for MSExcel, in ESRI ASCII Raster (.asc) and GeoTIFF formats (.tif) suitable for any desktop GIS tool. To view ASCII or GeoTIFF rasters in ArcMap or QGIS simply drag and drop the downloaded files onto the layer pane.
Pardey et al (2014) provide new projections of agricultural consumption and production for the period 2010 - 2050, derived using version 2.1 of the International Agricultural Prospects (iAP) model. This paper provides details of the iAP model used to derive those results.
The range of data items that the 2011/12 (2004 E.C.) Annual Agricultural Sample Survey (Meher Season) dealt with includes all cereals, pulses and oilseeds and the most commonly grown vegetables, root crops and permanent (perennial) crops.
