Upwards of half the local benefits from agricultural productivity improvements are attributable to R&D done elsewhere. The results of R&D spill across national and sub-national borders, and their productivity potentials, vary spatially in response to a host of agro-ecological, production system, economic and commercial considerations. HarvestChoice pays particular attention to these technology spillover effects. A range of indicators pertaining to research spillover potentials is under development and will be presented in this section.
