The impact of intellectual property on technology research and development and commercialization can be far-reaching. Unfortunately, intellectual property is generally not well understood, and misunderstanding is all too commonplace. This section provides a range of pragmatic information aimed to make intellectual property an understandable and effective tool for investors, business developers and policy makers. The various parts of this section include a series of tutorials on intellectual property and related legal fields, patent landscapes in a variety of areas of agricultural biotechnology, and commentaries on news stories.
