In this chapter the census data on production of temporary /annual crops such as cereals, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables and root crops are presented in Section 2. Production of permanent crops that included fruit crops, stimulant crops and other permanent crops are dealt with in Section 3. Moreover, the utilization of temporary crops as well as permanent crops for various purposes such as household consumption, seed, sale, paying wages in kind …etc are indicated in Section 4. Furthermore, these census data are also presented for all the weredas in the region. Hence, tables providing these data at wereda level are also given at the end of the chapter. Standard errors and Coefficients of variation for selected variables are provided as an annex to this chapter.
