This publication updates Statistical Release P1101, Census of commercial agriculture 2007, and in many respects can be compared with Report 11-02-01, Census of commercial agriculture 2002.
In this publication, Statistics South Africa releases the results of a survey of the large scale agriculture sector for the financial year ending 28 February 2006.
The purpose of the survey is to provide estimates of land use for agriculture, crop production and distribution, and livestock and poultry inventories.
