Yuan Chai

Yuan applies his knowledge of plant pathology and his interest in agricultural economics to modeling pest and disease for improving agricultural production.
He received his Master of Science degree from the Department of Plant Pathology, University of Minnesota, where his research focused on stem rust resistance genes in barley. His undergraduate studies in the Department of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, centered on plant diseases and crop improvement.
