Biography

Primary interests include agricultural production and environmental management in the developing world and public policies that aim to improve farmers’ well-being. Currently working on his PhD thesis which investigates the influence of climatic risk on Sub-African agriculture and farmers’ attitude toward risk as embodied in their input use and other farm management decisions. Also working on an improved evaluation of the efficiency of agricultural R&D investments and the implications for policies related to science and technologies on agricultural productivity.
Prior to his arrival in the University of Minnesota, he obtained his bachelor and master degrees in agricultural economics and management from Renmin University of China.
